A bladesmithing class with Master Smith J.D. Smith in his final semester at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design sealed Kevin’s destiny. Three-and-ahalf years of apprenticing and assistant-teaching JD’s classes at MassArt later, in 2016, he became a full-time knife-maker, his ornate fighting knives, daggers, and swords already showing a distinctive style. With his style instantly recognizable among thousands, Kevin’s pieces impresse with the lightness with which he plays on alliances between materials and textures.
